Chrysler Pacifica Only Minivan To Earn IIHS Top Safety Pick+ Rating

While most minivans are adequately prepared to protect their passengers should the worst occur, only one new model has earned the highest possible rating from the IIHS. The all-new 2017 Chrysler Pacifica was awarded Top Safety Pick+ honors, making it the safest new minivan available in the Milwaukee area. Testers highlighted the overall crashworthiness of the new Pacifica, and the autonomous emergency braking system allowed the minivan to avoid collisions at 12 and 25 MPH.In addition to the brake system and build quality of the 2017 Pacifica, several adaptive driver aids are included to take the new minivan to a higher level of safety and protection for families in the Milwaukee area. Key safety systems are as follows:
  • LaneSense® Lane Departure Warning with Lane Keep Assist alerts the driver to drifting
  • Forward Collision Warning with Active Braking uses radar to detect hazards and apply the brake when necessary
  • 360-degree Surround View Camera gives the driver a bird’s eye view of the Pacifica and the surrounding area
  • Adaptive Cruise Control with Stop and Go identifies vehicles in its forward path and uses sensor technology to maintain a set distance
